An enterprise architecture (EA) is a conceptual blueprint that defines the structure and operation of an organization. The intent of enterprise architecture is to determine how an organization can most effectively achieve its current and future objectives.
Our dedicated team promotes the use of various Enterprise Architecture (EA) methodologies and tools, with consulting and technical competence necessary to provide best-of-breed services. We also have a large pool of easily-deployable, internally-certified Enterprise Architects across various verticals.
Enterprise Architecture Development Methodology
Enterprise Architecture (EA) definition includes documentation of “as-is” and “to-be” architectures and any other architectures that need to be considered. EA documentation is a blueprint that helps stakeholders to understand the current state of the organization and the common vision for the organization’s desired state.
EA development methods such as The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and the Architecture Development Method (ADM) are adopted depending upon the engagement context.
The EA blueprint helps customers to understand the gaps in the current and future state architectures. Subsequently, the enterprise architect defines a roadmap with relevant projects that are in transition from the current to the future state. The roadmap highlights the projects that are to be implemented and the recommended sequence of execution. We also provide high-level guidance on the approach to execute projects and thereby ensure smooth implementation of the projects.
Enterprise Architecture Implementation
Customers with defined EA blueprint and roadmap look for support during the EA implementation. Our EA group has been involved in providing the required support during the implementation phase. The type of support provided includes participating in EA councils in customer organizations and guiding our project teams. Project teams need to be guided on solution architecture and design to ensure that their implementation complies with the defined Enterprise Architecture.
The implementation could be either with or without the support of a commercial EATool. Our EA Group has been involved in both types of engagements. Our enterprise architects are familiar with commercial EA tools such as System Architect from IBM Rational Telelogic, Enterprise Architect from Sparx Systems, ARIS from IDS Scheer and Troux.
Enterprise Architecture Review and Governance
Sometimes, customer organizations define the EA either in-house or with the help of an external agency. Customers also adopt industry-standard EA governance frameworks.
Such customers look for evaluation, validation and value addition based on our experience. Our EA group has been involved in such engagements.
Enterprise Architecture primarily deals with a collection of architectures that in turn are dependent on people, processes, and technology. EA Governance deals with recommending an appropriate organization structure, right processes, and technology for implementing the Enterprise Architecture.
Our EA group has been involved in recommending additional roles, implementing roadmap with appropriate processes and suitable technology to support the implementation process.
Enterprise Architecture Training
We have a robust and structured EA Training and Certification process to build strong EA practices for our customers. This exhaustive training program has the content quality and coverage at par with Open Group accredited training.
We have also developed the Penta-E Model to build EA programs for customers.
